David Lawrence to lead Sales at idX

May 20, 2022

Grand Rapids, Mich. (May 20, 2022) -- idX Corporation has announced a new Segment Vice President of Commercial Sales in preparation for the upcoming retirement of Jim Comarata, Vice President of Business Development, in September.David Lawrence, a Regional Sales Manager for idX's parent company, UFP Industries, has accepted the position of Segment Vice President of Commercial Sales for UFP's Commercial business unit, which includes idX and Quest Design & Millwork.

David joined the UFP family of companies in 2003 as a Sales and Design Manager over the Folkston, Georgia, and former Ocala, Florida, plants. He continued in that role until transferring to UFP's plant in Auburndale, Florida, in 2008, where he worked in multiple business unites: concrete forming, multi-family lumber, industrial sales, and multi-family project management.

In 2015 David and his family moved to northern Georgio, where he assumed the Sales Manager role over the Jefferson, Georgia, and Ooltewah, Tennessee, plants. Most recently in 2020, David was promoted to Regional Sales Manager of the Mid-Atlantice West region of UFP Site Built.

About this new opportunity, David said, "I'm really excited to join the Commercial group and learn that part of our business. For years I've been blessed to work on the 'front end' portion of projects, and now I'll be able to work on the 'finishing end,' which is different and exciting for me. The hardest part is leaving the talented group of men and women of UFP's Mid-Atlantic region and Site Built division in general. I've learned a lot during the past seven years, and the relationships run deep. I'm proud to have been a part of their team and excited to see where they take Site Built in the coming years."

'"idX is thrilled to have David as Jim's successor. David's proven success in leadership within UFP will be a significant asset in guiding idX and Quest's sales efforts. He has big shoes to fill, but I'm confident he will be a great addition to the team," said Scott Stewart, VP of Commercial for UFP Industries.

Headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with more than 20 offices worldwide, idX is one of the largest consumer environment manufacturers in the industry.
