What is the difference between idX and other store fixture conglomerates?
|
Unlike other conglomerates that acquire store fixture companies just to increase marketshare, idX Corporation acquires companies that add new capabilities allowing us to better server our clients. We acquire healthy companies that are already strong forces in the fixtures field. And we help them stay that way by providing their staffs with the capital and resources to help them excel.
At idX, we're focused 100% on millwork and fixturing. This, along with extensive capabilities and personalized service, differentiates idX from other conglomerates.
Our growing portfolio of companies expands our capabilities so we can continue engineering, manufacturing and delivering industry-leading fixtures for the retail, hospitality and financial markets.

|
Absolutely! We're very excited about the capabilities of our international operations partners and the ability to support our customers with high-quality, low-cost retail fixtures. For decades, customers throughout North America have taken advantage of our services, and as their businesses expanded, we've developed international capabilities that continue to add value to our clients.
Depending on your requirements and timeframe, fixtures can be produced in North America, overseas, or in a blended program so you get the price you need and the products when you need them.

With many store fixture manufacturers suffering financially, how does idX remain competitive, and yet, stay profitable?
|
We're very sorry to see the stress in the marketplace and to watch companies that have supported the retail industry for over half a century have to close their doors. It's difficult for these individuals, and at the same time, tumultuous for retail customers who depend on their services.
Our focus is on containing our overheads so we can be as competitive as possible while offering maximum value to our customers. Whether it's global purchasing, logistics and inventory, or project management, each idX team member strives to offer high-quality products and capabilities at the very best value.

Is idX considering further acquisitions in the future?
|
To support our strategic goals, we continue to consider new acquisitions on a global scale. Each company we acquire must add value to our organization and support our customers goals and visions.
Whether in Europe, Latin America or Asia, our commitment to this global vision is clear. In fact, we opened our Shanghai facility recently and will further expand our London operation in 2007.

Does idX have an environmental policy?
|
At idX, we're committed to maintaining high standards of social and environmental performance and are continually integrating best environmental business practices into our company wherever we can. For instance, we're accredited by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) for manufacturing fixtures that support the continual growth of forests worldwide.
In addition, idX leads the industry with our environment-focused recycling program. The idX Environment Project is led by representatives from each division pursuing our goal of 90% recycling of all waste. By partnering with local community and environmental groups, idX aims to constantly increase the level of recycling of all our materials, leading the store fixture industry as an environmentally-focused organization.
